Alexa Whipple, daughter of Rodney and Christine Whipple, from Arapahoe, Nebraska, is quickly becoming known as a song stylist whose repertoire and abilities cover several genres. Alexa recently released her 2nd CD entitled 'Beautiful Day' which features 5 original songs, traditional country, gospel and yodeling tunes. At 16-years old she has already received numerous awards for her talents. Some of which include; receiving the 'Contemporary Country Music CD of the Year Award' from the National Traditional Country Music Association, Yodeling Champion at the Old-Tyme Country and Bluegrass Festival in LeMars, Iowa and the youngest ever to receive the 'Entertainer of the Year' award from the Nebraska Country Music Foundation at age 11. Last year, Alexa was selected from over 2000 auditions to perform in Branson, Missouri for the Shotgun Red Variety Show which was aired this summer on RFD-TV national television. This year, Alexa is also delighted to be spotlight entertainer at three county fairs and a main stage performer at the Nebraska State Fair. In addition, she was selected to entertain at the National Agricultural Agents Annual Meeting August 8, 2011 in Overland Park, Kansas. Alexa also provides entetainment for numerous private and community events as well as retirement homes, nursing homes and churches. Alexa has enjoyed music for as long as she can remember and hopes to someday have a career in the music business.
